From the Big Apple to the Apple Orchards of the French Alps!
Hi! I’m Carey and I moved here with my beloved dog, Layla Belle from NYC for my local, French Savoyard, modern day fruit-farming husband.
Living here is vastly different than living in New York City, or even New Jersey and California (other places I’ve lived).
It’s also in my nature to make things more efficient and be organized. I like creating lists, gathering information, analyzing, and reporting back with key take aways.
In life, I always pay it forward and share what I have and what I know with other like minded people.
These things combined with my passion for adventure and knowledge has led me here.
When I arrived in Haute Savoie, France, I knew there was a lot to see and do, but I couldn’t seem to figure out exactly what, where and how.
Between the language barrier the locations of places, it was challenging.
This region is full of touristy places that every website, tourism office and trip advisor has listed but I want more than that. I want to have unique experiences and be prepared so that when I get to where I am going, I can really enjoy it.
One of the reasons I loved living in NYC was that I experienced culture just by changing neighborhoods. I have taken the same approach with the French Alps.
The Rhone Alps region of France is full of Savoyard culture, gastronomy, sports and leisure.
I am discovering the the region and beyond and I invite you to share in the journey with me!
